Events
Come meet the teamWelcome to a new section of the Sky Accessibility website, where we will bring you news and reviews of the events and roadshows attended around Britain by members of the Sky Disability Service Team.
Sky uses these opportunities to spread the word of how we provide services, such as narrative and subtitles, which enable customers with disabilities to use their Sky to the full.
We encourage people to join us at future team events and we will let you know when they are scheduled.

What we do for you
"In June 2003 Sky launched their Disability Service Team. This is part of the strategy to make customer service accessible to all our customers.
"We have a dedicated telephone number, textphone a dedicated fax number and an email address, all of which can be found on our 'Contact Us' page.
"After launching the service, we decided to go out on the road to promote it. We have attended several road shows and exhibitions, displaying examples of alternative media, magazines and a movie showing all three access services on screen.
"One of the exhibitions we attended was DNEX in Gateshead. Myself and two team leaders went along to speak to visitors and other exhibitors to promote our service.
"We spoke to many of our disabled customers who were unaware of the helpline and the services provided.
"It was a great opportunity to meet them and to see their reaction when they heard about the helpline and all of the services we have introduced.
"The DNEX exhibition is one of the most popular annual exhibitions and is very well attended. We spoke to carers, both professional and family members, students and teachers, all of whom were impressed to hear what Sky are doing for our disabled customers.
"It was very rewarding to hear the comments from all who visited our exhibition stand. Other exhibitors were heard to say "what are Sky doing here?" and, after detailing our service and the role of the helpline, all understood our presence.
"Our ambition is to continue to attend more exhibitions over the next year and to make as many of our disabled customers aware of the service we have implemented for them.
"We had a great time promoting our service, thanks to all who came to speak to us and see you all at the next event."
