Water Consumption

Notes on water consumption:

Water consumption has been rebaselined so that a like-for-like comparison can be made.

The process for re-calculation involved adding 2007-08 Easynet, 365 Media, Optimus, Amstrad, You Me TV and MyKindAPlace proportion of total FTE employee water consumption to the Sky data from 2003 onwards and adding 2008-09 data for Telindus to the Sky figure from 2003 onwards¹.

Data are estimated for: 365 Media, Amstrad, Optimus, Sky small sites (including MyKindAPlace Ltd), Easynet Manchester, Easynet Italy, Easynet Netherlands, Easynet Spain, Easynet France, Easynet Belgium, some sites in Easynet Germany and Easynet Switzerland. We will work to improve the accuarcy of data for 09/10.

Estimates are based on consumption at sites where data are available and calculated on a per FTE employee basis.

Water consumption has decreased in Osterley, Scotland and Easynet sites due to the implementation of water saving measures across these sites. This has resulted in reduced water consumption overall.
